4K Speaker Series – Étienne Brûlé and Samuel Champlain – Presented by Author Joseph Graham

March 15 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Étienne Brûlé and Samuel Champlain – was one a sellout, and why does it matter? Joseph Graham, author of ‘Naming Laurentians’ and ‘Insatiable Hunger’, explores the creation of Québec and its intended role as a safe port for Christian religious practice. He demonstrates the fundamental role of the English and French Protestants in protecting it from Catholic hegemony and how that role is a part of English Quebec’s legacy.
